LUGA, the first open-air exhibition of its kind in Luxembourg, was recently featured on the morning show of radio 100,7 to discuss this unique event. Madam Ann Muller, the general coordinator of LUGA, expressed her enthusiasm for the exhibition, set to take place in May 2025 in the heart of Luxembourg City.

LUGA, short for Luxembourg Urban Garden, will showcase urban gardens, landscape and art installations, agricultural projects, and vibrant living spaces. During the interview, the general coordinator outlined the exhibition’s route, which will span 11 kilometers across iconic sites in the city, including Édouard André municipal park, the Pétrusse and Alzette valleys, and the Kirchberg district, with an additional 5 kilometers in Ettelbruck. Each urban garden or installation, designed through a competitive process, will explore diverse and innovative themes such as biodiversity, heritage, art, and more.

Madam Carole Schimmer, a journalist from Radio 100,7, also participated in the new “Inside LUGA” guided tours, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the ongoing development of urban gardens in the Pétrusse and Alzette valleys. During the tour, Madam Ornella Duchesne, LUGA’s communications officer, emphasized the significance of certain elements, particularly water, which will serve as a central theme of the exhibition. Installations will highlight the city’s rivers and historic fountains, encouraging reflection on how nature can be integrated into urban environments. The exhibition aims to reveal the natural and historical richness of the city through a fresh lens, perfectly encapsulating LUGA’s theme: “Making the invisible visible.”

This Radio 100,7 interview has generated even more excitement and anticipation for an event that promises to be a highlight of the coming year, blending nature, art, and innovation in the heart of Luxembourg.
