The facility presents a selection of varieties cultivated by the Lycée Technique Agricole nursery, including special plants such as the Crab Apple Malus ‘Andreas Bärtels’, the Oak Quercus x hildelii ‘Madame Aimée Camus’ and other regional varieties. The garden was planted by the city council and the plants were selected and cultivated by the LTA nursery.
The nursery of the Agricultural College (LTA) is a renowned institution for agricultural and horticultural training in Luxembourg and has more than 20 years of experience in plant breeding and landscaping. Under the direction of Eike Jablonski, an experienced nurseryman and horticultural engineer, numerous selection projects have been carried out at the LTA. A special project was launched in collaboration with the City of Luxembourg, which made the site available and took care of the planting, in which exclusive plant varieties were developed. In addition, other local plant species are cultivated and developed at the LTA in order to promote the diversity of regional varieties and support innovative landscape design.
