Immerse yourself in a three-tiered ecological journey: a carpet of vibrant sedum for resilient, low-maintenance gardens; a sandy landing where roots run deep, minimising water and weeds; and finally, a summit marked by a majestic multi-trunk plant, a symbol of resilient, innovative nature. Each level is elegantly separated by a dry stone wall, a testament to our craftsmanship and our commitment to a green future.

Greenery in Three Stages: A Response to Tomorrow’s Climate
Mon Jardin is a Luxembourg family business founded in 1976 and run by the third generation of the family. With a team of 25 experts, it offers a full range of services, from landscaping gardens and outdoor spaces to creating green roofs, professional pruning and plant maintenance. Mon Jardin stands out for its expertise in dry stone walls, paving and automatic irrigation, with a focus on sustainability, quality and adaptation to climatic challenges.
They are part of the eight members of the Luxembourgish Horticultural Federation, which includes gardeners and a market gardener, who will design a garden for the LUGA exhibition.
Materials: quarry stone (used for dry stone walls, adding a handcrafted touch), white sand (used in the second tier to encourage deep rooting and reduce water needs), and rockery (to add texture to the landscape).
Vegetation: sedum carpet (for the first tier, providing drought-resistant ground cover), soil (a rich mix to support plant growth), pine bark (used for mulching, reducing evaporation and enriching the soil), and dead wood (incorporated to enhance biodiversity and create natural habitats).
Climate-adapted plants: selection of regional plants and multi-stemmed varieties allowed by the new guidelines (Aster dumosus ‘Snowsprite’, Stipa tenuifolia, Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote Blue’, Lagerstroemia indica, Salvia ‘Royal Bumble’, Salvia nemorosa, Sedum spectabile ‘Brillant’, Verbena bonariensis).
The gardens of the Luxembourgish Horticultural Federation (FHL) offer a fine showcase for the expertise of companies and professionals in the Luxembourg horticultural sector through eight unusual gardens, created by seven landscape nurseries and one market gardener as part of the LUGA.
As an observing member of the LUGA exhibition, the FHL represents 448 small and medium-sized companies specialising in landscaping, nursery gardening, fruit growing, market gardening and floral art, as well as in vocational and continuing training, as well as in various areas of company law, thus contributing to the growth of this dynamic and innovative sector.
