As part of Luxembourg’s first national garden exhibition LUGA 2025 – Luxembourg Urban Garden, the Fédération Horticole Luxembourgeoise (FHL) hosted a special mid-season event on Friday, 20 June 2025, in the FHL Gardens located in the municipal park of Luxembourg City. The goal of this gathering was to highlight the work, creativity and commitment of the participating horticultural companies – while promoting dialogue with political representatives, the press and various stakeholders.

At one of the exhibition’s most prominent sites – just above the Fondation Pescatore and close to the Pfaffenthal panoramic lift – eight FHL member companies from the landscaping and vegetable production sectors are showcasing their visionary garden projects.

What makes this initiative unique is its Garden Sponsorship model: All eight gardens were entirely self-financed by the companies themselves – a powerful expression of passion, horticultural craftsmanship and innovative ideas.

An encounter with the designers: A pleasant walk through the FHL’s remarkable gardens

The afternoon began with a welcome address by FHL President Ernest Brandenburger, followed by official speeches by Agriculture Minister Martine Hansen, Luxembourg City’s First Deputy Mayor Maurice Bauer, and LUGA General Coordinator Ann Muller.

The second half of the event focused on a “Meet the Creators” walk: Visitors had the chance to discover each garden and engage directly with its designer(s) – all in a relaxed, summery atmosphere. Through this event, the FHL once again underscored the strength, diversity and innovation of Luxembourg’s horticultural sector. The FHL Gardens remain open to visitors until 18 October 2025 as part of the ongoing LUGA exhibition.
