This area is home to the annual Ettelbruck Agricultural Fair, one of the most important agricultural events in Luxembourg, as it is one of the meeting points for professionals in the green professions, agricultural trade and innovation, promoting regional products and raising consumer awareness. A wide-ranging program is planned for this event, so that young and old alike can discover the world of agriculture and its secrets, new cultivation methods, technological innovations as well as plant varieties and Luxembourg products.
Throughout the 6 months of the exhibition, the Daïchwisen will host an innovative concept of agricultural projects that are completely mobile and adaptable to local situations, whether for fairs, football matches, Ettelbruck community festivals or concerts. The Agricultural Hub, or AgriLab, a pavilion set up on the redeveloped square in front of the Däichhal, will host a visitor centre, a space for workshops, conferences, exhibitions and, noblesse oblige, tasting events of regional, local and seasonal products and drinks, made in Luxembourg.
The Däichwisen will also be showcasing agricultural projects such as a ‘superfood’ plantation, biochar and photo exhibitions on the lives of farmers.
