At the crossroads of significant societal and environmental trends, the Sustainable and Engaged Futures workshops aim to bridge the gap between science and the public.

Inspired by the “science café” model, we invite participants to engage openly with experts, ask questions, and express their opinions through these six interactive public discussions. Each forum is designed to be an inclusive space where diverse perspectives are welcomed and valued.

We aim to strengthen the bond between society and the University by promoting direct interaction, openness, transparency, and public engagement.

Join us on this exciting journey to bring science closer to the community and work together towards a sustainable and engaged future. Let’s make a difference through meaningful conversations and collaborative efforts.

Our first workshop is an inspiring public discussion with Prof. Marie Friedel, Professor of Nursing Sciences at the University of Luxembourg, and Dr. Anthony Lepinteur, Research Scientist at the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Luxembourg, on Sustainable Health Systems for Lasting Well-being.

We will explore why/how sustainable health systems are fundamental for ensuring long-term well-being within societies, and how deep the interconnection and interdependency are.

Through engaging talks, interactive sessions, and dynamic discussions, you’ll understand how health and well-being are linked and must be approached with sustainability at the core.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with individuals and experts, share your insights, and be inspired to make a lasting impact on building a future where sustainable health practices lead to enduring well-being for all.
