What if our roots were more than just our origins?
What if they were also the bonds we weave, the places we inhabit, the music that makes us come alive?
For this cinematic evening, Canopée Produktion invites you to explore ROOTS in all their forms:
those we inherit,
those we choose,
and those we create.
A program blending art, memory, engagement, and joy.
🎬 3 films by François Baldassare
▪️ Borderlovers – Documentary portrait, 25 min
Two Portuguese artists, Pedro and Bassanti, arrive in Luxembourg without preconceived ideas.
Their murals become a bridge between people, a collaborative work nourished by the place, faces, and encounters.
An immersion in art as a universal language.
▪️ Saltimbanques – Documentary portrait, 15 min
At 82, Sonia Lettmann embodies joy.
Through music, dance, and nomadic memories, her story resonates with the iconic “Saltimbanques” sculpture in downtown Luxembourg.
A touching portrait celebrating rootedness in lightness and the art of movement.
▪️ Dany Cage, A Story of Emancipation – Docu-fiction, 73 min
A journey into the psychedelic Luxembourg of the late 1960s.
Through testimonies and archives, this film revisits a legendary place of revolution, art, and freedom;
where music becomes the root of a collective movement.
🌿 An evening to reflect, feel, remember…
and perhaps (re)connect with what moves us most deeply.
