The garden is not only a relaxing green space for us humans but can also directly contribute to biodiversity preservation through a natural and pollinator-friendly design.
The goal of this talk is to convey the most important approaches to easily and effectively design your home garden in a natural way, without compromising aesthetic and functional requirements.
Anyone can create a colorful refuge for pollinators such as bees and butterflies, as well as many other animals, without much effort and without using pesticides.
Besides the selection, origin, and combination of plants, the maintenance of the natural garden will also be discussed, as it greatly influences the beneficial living beings. The role of different structures and the creation of additional nesting aids will be explained. Finally, some special species and their requirements for a natural garden will be presented.
Speaker: Lisa Siebenaler
