Economie circulaire dans la construction
Un projet pilote mené par l'Administration des bâtiments publics
The ABP launched a circular economy pilot project, which takes a new approach by reusing materials dismantled on site. The methodology, based on inventorying materials and reusing them, will become mandatory under waste legislation.
The Public Buildings Administration has launched a circular economy pilot project at Lycée Michel Lucius in Luxembourg. As part of this
project, a wing that had fallen into disuse was selectively demolished and the recovered materials were reused to transform another wing into a new library.
The architect in charge of the project will explain how the experts concluded that this conversion project was faster and ultimately less expensive than demolition/reconstruction. She will discuss the importance of inventorying materials, as well as inventorying reusable items, which is becoming increasingly mandatory under Luxembourg’s new waste law of 2022. She will also detail the technical measures implemented to resolve acoustic and thermal issues in the new wing.
