Choirs for Ecocide Law – Konzert Let’s Change the Rules

Sich aktiv für das Leben auf unserem Planeten einsetzen – mit Gesang!

Anlässlich seines 40-jährigen Bestehens schließt sich das Vokalensemble Jubilate Musica der Bewegung Choirs for Ecocide Law an, um zwei große Konzerte zu organisieren, bei denen zehn Chöre aus Luxemburg und der Großregion zusammenkommen.

Dieses Chorprojekt, das direkt aus Skandinavien kommt, soll das Bewusstsein für die Notwendigkeit schärfen, großflächige Umweltzerstörung (Ökozid) zu einem internationalen Verbrechen zu machen.

Das Konzertprogramm Let’s Change the Rules umfasst 15 Lieder im Stil von Pop, Jazz und Rap, die eigens für diesen Anlass von Komponist*innen aus verschiedenen Kulturen geschrieben wurden.
Im Rahmen dieses Konzerts organisieren CELL – Citizens for Ecological Learning and Living und der pädagogische Bauernhof Kass-Haff am Samstag, dem 5. Juli 2025, in Rollingen (Mersch) einen Sensibilisierungstag rund um das Thema Ökozid – mit Workshops, künstlerischen Darbietungen und Informationsständen für die ganze Familie.

Der Tag endet um 19 Uhr mit dem Konzert Let’s Change the Rules, bei dem mehr als 250 Chorsänger*innen auftreten.

Am nächsten Tag, Sonntag, dem 6. Juli 2025, um 18 Uhr, wird das Konzert im Rahmen der LUGA ein zweites Mal aufgeführt, und zwar im LUGA Lab im Herzen des Parc Odendahl (Pfaffenthal, Luxemburg). Dessen Aufgabe ist es, „den intergenerationellen und interkulturellen Austausch zu unterstützen … indem es auf spielerische und positive Weise das Bewusstsein für Umweltfragen schärft.“

Choirs for Ecocide Law – Concert Let’s Change the Rules

Take an active stand for life on our planet – by singing!

To celebrate its 40ᵗʰ anniversary, the Ensemble Vocal Jubilate Musica is joining forces with the Choirs for Ecocide Law movement to organise two major concerts featuring a dozen choirs from Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

This choral project, inspired by an initiative from Scandinavia, aims to raise awareness of the need to recognise large-scale environmental destruction (ecocide) as an international crime.

A powerful and moving repertoire of 15 pop, jazz, and rap songs, specially composed by artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Saturday, 5 July 2025 – Rollingen (Mersch) – Kass-Haff

Organised by CELL and the Kass-Haff educational farm
A full-day ecocide awareness event with:

• Creative workshops

• Artistic performances

• Info stands for the whole family

The day concludes at 7:00 p.m. with the Let’s Change the Rules concert, bringing together over 250 singers!

Sunday, 6 July 2025 – 6:00 p.m. – Luxembourg (Pfaffenthal) –  Youth Hostel _ 2 rue du Fort Olisy, Luxembourg Pafendal

A second performance  at the Youth Hostel (next to the Parc Odendahl).
The mission of the LUGA Lab:

“To foster intergenerational and intercultural exchanges by raising public awareness of ecological issues in a positive and entertaining way.”
