In the way of the troubadours, singer-songwriter Kimsar gives walking concerts in the LUGA gardens to share both ancient and modern musical tales.

The repertoire mixes ancient music – troubadour songs, Renaissance airs and mysterious legends – with much more recent songs, created as they are by the audience only days before during participatory music workshops.Hence, Kimsar invites all participants above 7 years old to take part in a collective workshop, where they will make up their own local legend. No musical knowledge or equipment is needed. The workshop lasts an hour and a half. It is mostly given in French, but all are welcome to express themselves in their own language. Kimsar speaks French, German and English fluently.

The tale that will be created during the workshop will then be sung by Kimsar in her next concerts, including the four walking concerts held during LUGA on 8 and 29 June, 6 and 13 July. Participants to the workshop are most welcome to join and sing along to their own song, although there is no obligation to do so. Their tale will join other songs made in different workshops in Marseille, rural Provence, Paris and in Luxembourg. They all make for a common repertoire that encompasses both what makes us unique and what unites us across time and borders.
