One month ahead of the exhibition’s opening, LUGA hosted a convivial gathering this Sunday with a picnic at the Édouard André municipal park, nestled in the heart of the temporary urban gardens by the Luxembourgish Horticultural Federation (FHL).

This event provided a unique opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes of the exhibition through a guided tour of the ongoing works. Visitors were able to explore the FHL’s 8 gardens, the Cocon exploratif located in the Pescatore Foundation, as well as the LUGA Culture Hub. The tour also led to the discovery of emerging gardens, such as the remarkable Roseraie Amélie, created by Luxembourg City’s Parks Service in collaboration with the Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn and Patrimoines Roses pour le Luxembourg associations, as well as Les Plantes du Luxembourg, a joint initiative of the Luxembourg City’s Parks Service and the Lycée Technique Agricole. Visitors also had the chance to explore Life on the Verge, a garden by Leon Kluge, before the tour concluded in the Alzette valley, with Solum by Atelier Faber and Après l’effondrement by Oupapo.

At the end of the visit, a convivial picnic—organic, anti-waste, and fair trade—provided by PickNick allowed visitors to exchange ideas and explore this ambitious project from a unique perspective, all set in an exceptional environment!
