During a press conference held on Thursday, April 24, at the Cercle Cité, the key details of LUGA 2025 – Luxembourg Urban Garden were revealed in the presence of Martine Hansen, Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Viticulture, Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Bob Steichen, Mayor of the City of Ettelbruck, and Ann Muller, the event’s General Coordinator.
The temporary exhibition LUGA will take place across five iconic locations in Luxembourg: the Alzette Valley, the Edouard André Municipal Park, the Pétrusse Valley, Kirchberg, and the City of Ettelbruck in the Nordstad.
At the same time, the LUGA Art Trail: Animals of The Mind, conceived by curator Boris Kremer, will offer an outdoor artistic journey. Inspired by the theme of LUGA, “Making the Invisible Visible,” it will feature a collection of sculptures, installations, video artworks, performances, and site-specific interventions centered around the animal figure.
Finally, a rich program of events will accompany the exhibition throughout the season. Workshops, performances, conferences, themed tours, and activities will enhance the visitors’ experience and foster interactions between disciplines, audiences, and the sites involved. Emphasis will also be placed on mediation and accessibility, ensuring broad and inclusive participation.
The tourism offer was also presented, in collaboration with the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, Sightseeing.lu, and numerous partners, with the aim of encouraging the exploration of the many facets of LUGA and its host locations.
