The long-awaited results of the Festival des Cabanes competition have finally been announced!
This competition, organised by the Service national de la Jeunesse (SNJ) and the Ordre des Architectes et des Ingénieurs-Conseils (OAI), is much more than just a competition: it is a real architectural adventure in which young people aged between 12 and 26 join forces to design unusual huts, combining creativity, sustainable construction and the discovery of craft trades.
The main aim is to encourage exchanges between young people from different backgrounds, while allowing them to express their inventiveness and acquire new skills. Beyond the creative aspect, the Festival des Cabanes raises participants’ awareness of the challenges of sustainable construction, puts the spotlight on craft trades and offers a first contact with the professions of architect and consulting engineer.
This year, for the 5th edition of the festival, the huts were designed around the LUGA theme: ‘Making the invisible visible’. After a rigorous selection process, the jury has chosen the winners, whose creations promise to be as daring as they are innovative.
The winners are preparing to take on a new and exciting challenge: building the huts, scheduled for 16 to 18 July 2025. This is a key stage in bringing their ideas to life!
