On May 10, 2025, LUGA – Luxembourg Urban Garden will host its opening festival on the lawn of the Kinnekswiss, in the heart of the municipal park. Surrounded by greenery, this festive day marks the launch of the LUGA 2025 exhibition and its full program. The event is designed with respect for the environment and nature, offering activities inspired by the principles of a slow event.

 

Program:

A diverse program will run throughout the afternoon across various dedicated areas of the park. Three stages will host artistic and musical performances.

1. Rose Stage: The festival’s main stage, featuring the highlights of the artistic and musical lineup.

  • Opening Speech – 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM
  • IREM – 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
    Luxembourgish artist of Turkish origin, IREM transcends cultural borders with her blend of pop, hip-hop, and R’n’B. Her captivating voice and command of five languages create a truly unique musical experience.
  • Aucklane – 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM
    An artist from Liège with a dark, bold rock alter ego, elevated by mesmerizing lyrics.
  • The Ferocious Few – 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM
    A rock duo led by Francisco Fernandez, fusing rock, folk, punk, and rockabilly into raw, authentic music.
  • FùGù MANGO – 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    A Brussels-based collective blending African rhythms, electro, and indie pop. Inspired by Talking Heads and Yeasayer, their colorful and danceable music features intense percussion and captivating guitars.
  • Ouai Stéphane – 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM
    French electronic musician known for his innovative live performances using everyday objects as MIDI instruments.

 

2. Orchid Stage: The festival’s second music stage

  • Contemporary music concerts by students of Max Serra’s music program at the Luxembourg City Conservatory:
    2:30 PM–3:15 PM, 3:30 PM–4:15 PM
    Vibraphone by Elisabeth Scheuren, electric bass by Arthur Engel, trumpet by Leopold Strauss, piano by Hanna Jane Lyon, drums by Gabin Tavernier, and vocals by Ginka Lambrich.
  • Blue-ish – 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM

  • Boy From Home – 6:30 PM – 7:15 PM
