🎍 Tataki Zomé – Japanese Botanical Printing, led by Sandra Romanelli & J’fais c’que j’veux by Billi
Tataki zome is an ancestral Japanese plant-printing technique. The fabrics then undergo a mordant process (I carry out this step in my workshop) to retain the plant pigments. Then, simply place the flower or leaf in contact with the fabric and tap it with a hammer. The pigments transfer, revealing beautiful patterns.
This workshop will be conducted in French.
The creations will be made from local plants on recycled fabric scraps.
partner will provide all the necessary materials.
Participants may bring additional materials, as well as flowers and foliage, if they wish.
Workshops are held in groups of up to 10 people at a time.
