This talk will highlight how nature in general, and species-rich communities in particular, can contribute to human well-being. It will also explore how people perceive biodiversity and how knowledge of species and their diversity can be promoted.
Speaker: Dr Petra Lindemann-Matthies
Dr Petra Lindemann-Matthies is an emeritus professor of biology and biology education at the University of Education in Karlsruhe. She studied biology and geography for secondary school teaching and worked as a teacher for six years. She later earned her PhD and habilitation at the University of Zurich.
