During the Do-it-yourself Bonsai workshop, led by the Luxembourgish club Bonsai Frënn Minett Déifferdeng (BFMD), participants will receive a brief introduction to the art of bonsai from club representatives and will be guided by experienced members to perform an initial shaping on a plant that is provided to them free of charge.

This initial shaping mainly involves uncovering the root base (nebari), selecting the front side, choosing the branches, and determining the future style of the bonsai. To achieve this, it will be necessary to remove unusable branches, adjust the trunk position, and, if needed, apply wiring to give the plant the desired movement.

At the end of each workshop, the participant will receive the plant to take home and continue their bonsai journey. BFMD will remain available throughout the season for any questions regarding plant care.

With this workshop, Bonsai Frënn Minett Déifferdeng aims to spark and cultivate interest in this ancient and fascinating art, deeply rooted in Asian cultures.
