This exhibition is dedicated to the Ligue Luxembourgeoise du Coin de Terre et du Foyer, an organization that has played a key role for over a century in the development of community gardens, social housing, and sustainable gardening in Luxembourg.

Originally founded to improve workers’ living conditions by giving them access to small garden plots, the League quickly became a major force in promoting shared gardens, combining nature and social well-being.

Visitors will discover how the League has evolved over time, transforming from a social movement into an organization committed to preserving biodiversity, promoting ecological gardening, and protecting green spaces. Through historical documents, photographs, and models, the exhibition illustrates the importance of community gardens as spaces for relaxation, food cultivation, and social interaction.

The exhibition also addresses the contemporary challenges the League faces, such as increasing urbanization, climate change, and sustainable urban planning. It invites visitors to reflect on the future of green spaces in cities and demonstrates how everyone can contribute to preserving these vital natural havens.
