As part of the European network ” Let’s Liberate Diversity ! “, farmers, plant breeders, seed producers, crop biodiversity organisations and researchers from around twenty European countries will be meeting in early September for their annual forum.

The ” Let’s Liberate Diversity ! ” network will be 20 years old in 2025, and has a long history of events, projects and publications behind it. Its common goal is the conservation and on-farm development of agrobiodiversity through collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and experience among its members. The network’s work is based on the understanding that the diversity of regional crop varieties plays a key role in sustainable food systems, and that this diversity must not only be conserved, but also developed on farms, in gardens and in local markets. This pragmatic approach is summed up by the phrase ‘Use it or lose it’.
