LUGA launches a call for expressions of interest and plant distributions as part of its “LUGA ReCycle” initiative
The LUGA exhibition is coming to an end — but there’s good news: many installations and urban gardens will remain accessible to the public, while others are looking for a second life. In this context, LUGA ASBL is launching a call for expressions of interest until Wednesday, 22 October 2025 for installations that will need to be dismantled.
In line with its eco-responsible commitment, LUGA is looking for new recipients for its urban gardens, materials, equipment, and plants.
Different possibilities for reuse are available:
Transfer of urban gardens / installations with the aim of a complete reconstruction at another site
Donation of remaining materials
Sale of technical equipment and materials
Sale of furniture, electronic devices, and administrative equipment – a second life is also planned for tables, chairs, computers, screens, and other items used in the organisation after December 2025.

After the exhibition closes, some of LUGA’s flowerbeds will be removed. These contain numerous perennial plants that deserve a new home.
LUGA is organising free plant distributions at each Hub. These events are open to everyone: associations, the general public, and individuals.
