On the hunt for a cool and refreshing cocktail? BAC – Bar à Cocktails is unveiling the LUGA Cocktail, created by Raphaël Betti, owner of BAC and passionate mixologist!
This cocktail skilfully combines a blend of local berries with a homemade fresh basil syrup. The freshness of the basil is preserved thanks to gentle cooking of the leaves ‘sous-vide’ at low temperature. This method is combined with a ‘cooked’ infusion that reveals the characteristic notes of basil, subtly evoking the scent of pesto. In collaboration with local craft distilleries, seasonal spirits and liqueurs — raspberry and strawberry — are selected to create the perfect summer highball. The harmonious balance between sweetness and acidity is reminiscent of a mojito, enhanced by the unique herbaceous touch of basil. A local mojito, reinvented and elevated.
For the non-alcoholic version, spirits are replaced by carefully selected bitter ingredients, adding body, complexity and character. Over-extracted mint tea and raw walnut essence lend depth and liveliness.
