Benzoin is balsamic, warming and penetrating but gentle. As Benzoin is a resinoid, it comes in a solid form. Absolute Aromas has used an odourless diluent - benzyl benzoate - to liquefy it for your convenience so that it is practical to use. Even diluted to 40%, it can still solidify easily but this can be solved by warming the bottle gently in your hands. We have chosen to source our Benzoin oil from Siam as we believe that is of superior quality to the cheaper and coarser Sumatran variants. For a warming winter steam inhalation, try blending 2 drops of Benzoin with either 2 drops of Eucalyptus Radiata, Tea Tree or Frankincense (All available from the Absolute Aromas Amazon store). With a towel over your head, lean over a bowl of just-boiled water with your essential oil blend mixed in and breathe normally for ten minutes.
