Kirchberg is the ultimate urban neighbourhood, while offering an ideal location to highlight agricultural alternatives. LUGA’s main objective is to increase awareness of our natural environment, encouraging us all to take a new point of view. There will be more green space, less concrete, while maintaining the same city centre. There will be plants that use little water and are able to adapt to climate change, vertical plantations and green roofs, combined with new technologies for retrieving used water, renewable energy production, buildings made from natural closed-circuit materials, urban farms and examples of cities focused on organic food and agriculture. In addition, the spotlight will be on existing green areas in Kirchberg, such as public arboretums and private initiatives.
